Full Job Description

Functions as a member of a multidisciplinary team in meeting the development; psychosocial and intellectual needs of pediatric patients and their families. Implements a therapeutic medical preparation program; and supervises; organizes and directs age appropriate therapeutic play experiences in order to help alleviate anxiety and provide a sense of normalcy. Orients; trains and supervises students and volunteers assigned to unit.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education

Bachelors Degree

Minimum Work Experience

1 year previous experience

Required Licenses/Certifications

CPR-BCLS
Child Life Professional Certification - required prior to hire

Required Skills; Knowledge; and Abilities

Child Life; Early Childhood Education; Child Development; Psychology or related fields.
Ability to handle confidential information.
Maintains professional appearance at all times.
