Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will manage and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring the integrity of our accounting processes. Your expertise will support our organization’s financial health by handling day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, reconciling accounts, and preparing essential financial reports. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a thriving organization committed to transparency, accuracy, and efficiency in financial management.

Responsibilities

Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software such as QuickBooks platform.
Record journal entries accurately, including debits and credits, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Reconcile bank statements and perform account reconciliations regularly to ensure data accuracy.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and review financial statements for discrepancies or errors.
Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations.
Support budgeting activities by analyzing financial data and preparing reports for management review.
Perform detailed account analysis and general ledger accounting to maintain precise financial records.
Prepare financial reports, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets, for internal use or external audits.
Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial data.

Skills

Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks platform.
Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and non-profit accounting practices.
Knowledge of GAAP standards and technical accounting concepts.
Expertise in bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping methods.
Familiarity with governmental accounting procedures and tax regulations related to payroll and reporting requirements.
Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately for data entry tasks.
Excellent analytical skills for account analysis, general ledger reconciliation, and financial report writing.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and external auditors.
