2. A letter of interest espousing the applicant’s interest in The Christian Service Center’s mission as well as their philosophy on managing employees and volunteers.
3. Two professional or academic letters of reference
4. A letter of reference from a church leader (pastor, minister, elder, etc.) appropriate for the applicant’s faith tradition.

Position Summary
The Executive Director must support the mission of the Christian Service Center and develop the policies, systems, and personnel to see that mission flourish.
The Executive Director is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational management of the nonprofit organization. This role works closely with the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners to advance the organization’s mission, ensure financial sustainability, and maximize community impact.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy
● Provide visionary leadership aligned with the organization’s mission and strategic goals
● Develop and implement strategic plans, annual goals, and organizational priorities
● Foster a positive, inclusive, and mission-driven organizational culture
● Serve as the primary spokesperson and representative of the organization
● Work along side the Director Emeritus for approximately 1 year
Board Relations
● Work collaboratively with the Board of Directors to support governance and strategic planning
● Provide regular updates on organizational performance, finances, and program outcomes
● Assist with board development, recruitment, and engagement
Financial Management
● Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and fiscal accountability
● Ensure compliance with financial policies, grant requirements, and nonprofit regulations
● Develop and implement fundraising strategies including grants, donor cultivation, sponsorships, and events
● Monitor organizational sustainability and growth opportunities
Program & Operations Management
● Oversee administrative operations and ensure effective delivery of programs and services
● Evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements as needed
● Ensure compliance with applicable laws, policies, and accreditation standards
● Manage organizational risk and operational efficiency
Staff & Volunteer Leadership
● Oversees the head of each department and delegates responsibilities accordingly
● Recruit, supervise, and evaluate staff and key leadership personnel
● Promote professional development and team collaboration
● Support volunteer engagement and recognition efforts
Community & Donor Engagement
● Build and maintain relationships with donors, community leaders, government agencies, and partner organizations
● Increase public awareness of the organization’s mission and impact
● Lead fundraising initiatives and donor stewardship activities
Qualifications
● Committed Christian
● Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in nonprofit management, business administration, public administration, social work or related field
● Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment
● Proven experience in fundraising, budgeting, and strategic planning
● Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
● Knowledge of nonprofit governance and compliance requirements
● Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead organizational growth
Preferred Skills
● Grant writing and donor relations experience
● Experience working with a Board of Directors
● Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
● Proficiency with nonprofit management software and Microsoft Office Suite

Work Environment
