Full Job Description

Culinary Professional -Line Cooks

We are a Private Golf Club in Bristol Virginia we serve a higher clientele that expects higher standards and consistency. We have multiple venues and host many events at each location. Our staff are culinary professionals who work closely with an executive chef and Skilled sous Chefs. We are a fine Dining restaurant that is quality driven with high expectations

We are looking for a Culinary Professionals who enjoy working in a from scratch kitchen.

Ability to be self sufficient and work from a recipe book with minimal supervision.

Ready to learn and expand your skillset.

Essential Functions

· Assisting with daily Soup and Pasta specials, executing prep lists in timely manner,

· Being proficient at all stations including but not limited to Grill, Sauté, Garde mange and working the pass

· Keeping stations clean sanitary and keeping misen place in a neat orderly fashion.

Required Responsibilities

· Cooking and executing menu items following strict guidelines set by the chefs

· Cooking Proteins and sauces to proper temperatures

· Keeping walk-ins prep areas and kitchen areas in clean and organized manner

· Work well with others and keeping an open mind toward FOH staff and your coworkers

· Basic understanding of Knife skills and proper cuts eg. Bruinoise, Julienne, Chiffonade and batonnet

· Have a creative mind willing push your own boundaries and excel in fast paced environment

Required Experience

· Knife Skills

· Knowledge of best sanitary practices

· Ability to read and write recipes

· Have basic butchery and fabricating skills

· Knows par levels and communicates when product maybe running low

· Knowledge of local health standards

Additional Requirements

· Professional appearance

· Serve safe certified

· Have own knife and respects others properties

· Have Valid Drivers License and dependable transportation

· Be able to pass strict drug testing and back ground check

Pay is based on ability and experience you maybe asked to cook at the interview

Benefits are offered after 90 days of continuous fulltime employment

Must be able to work long periods of time standing

Day and Evening shifts available

Work Schedule is

Tuesday through Saturday, will be asked to work occasional Sundays and Mondays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
