Full Job Description

Falls Hearing Center is looking for a full-time Patient Care Coordinator for our practice in Abingdon.

We are an independent, community-oriented audiology practice that has been providing comprehensive hearing services to Southwest Virginia and the surrounding areas for over 20 years. We are staffed by a Doctor of Audiology and a Hearing Instrument Specialist – both completely committed to giving our patients the highest quality hearing health care available. We provide state-of-the-art hearing aid technology and advanced hearing evaluations while maintaining a comfortable environment for our patients. We absolutely love what we do! Bringing improved hearing and better communication to our patients’ lives is our passion.

Our hearing experts take care to spend time with our patients – conducting testing thoroughly, answering all their questions, and finding a hearing solution that truly fits their individual needs and lifestyle. As both the first and last point of contact for all visitors, the front office team is equally integral to delivering an exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities include:

· Warmly greeting patients and other visitors

· Answering phones in a prompt and courteous manner

· Outbound calling to current and prospective patients

· Entering and updating all patient information including intake and insurance forms

· Scheduling appointments

· Receiving funds and processing payments

· Maintaining excellent working relationships with patients, vendors, colleagues, etc.

Qualifications:

· High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in administration, accounting, sales, healthcare, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience

· Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with patients, colleagues, and external partners.

· Strong customer service orientation with excellent listening, problem-solving, and service recovery skills.

· Ability to accurately process and track financial transactions, including payments, reconciliations, and basic accounting functions.

· Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain workflow efficiency.

· Demonstrates empathy, compassion, and professionalism in all interactions.

· Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry, documentation, and recordkeeping.

· Proficiency with office systems, including scheduling software, electronic medical records (EMR), and basic computer applications.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in accordance with privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).

· Willingness and ability to travel for training or professional development, as required by the practice

Pay: $15.00 per hour
