This position will be responsible for fire protection, performing skilled emergency and non-emergency work, driving rescue vehicles, rescuing the sick or injured, and administering emergency medical care, including basic trauma life support.
Minimum qualifications include: High school diploma or GED, Virginia EMT – Advanced or above, Virginia Firefighter II, Virginia Hazmat Operations, VDFP, EVOC, and CPR. Ability to meet departmental physical and medical requirements, strong communication and decision-making skills, and a passion for serving others.
Special Requirements: Please indicate in your application any certifications, both achieved and in process, and any other related experience, including volunteer service.
Satisfactory completion of a background check, DMV records check and annually thereafter and drug screening prior to employment.
