Full Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Auto Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong experience in refinishing vehicles, a sharp eye for color match and detail, and takes pride in producing top-tier work that meets OEM and custom-quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Prepare vehicles and parts for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming.
Mix and match paint colors using computerized systems and manufacturer codes.
Apply paint coatings with precision and consistency, ensuring smooth finishes and proper curing.
Inspect completed work for quality, finish, and color accuracy.
Maintain paint booth, tools, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
Work collaboratively with estimators, prep techs, and reassembly staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Follow all safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in automotive painting (collision repair or custom work).
Strong knowledge of paint mixing, blending, and refinishing techniques.
Experience with base coat/clear coat systems (PPG, Axalta, or similar).
Attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Ability to manage multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred (Not Required):

I-CAR or ASE certification.
Experience in custom or restoration paint work.
