Nashoba Valley Winery | Bolton, MA

Nashoba Valley Winery is seeking a skilled, full-time Line Cook to join our culinary team. This is a swing position that works between The Knoll, our high-volume outdoor kitchen, and J's Restaurant our farm to table fine dining Restaurant. During the outdoor season, this role is primarily responsible for operating The Knoll kitchen during lunch service before transitioning to J's Restaurant for dinner service later in the week.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and able to excel in both a fast-paced casual kitchen and a full-service restaurant environment. This position requires the ability to work independently while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and professionalism.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
The Knoll is a tipped position. While working at The Knoll, kitchen staff participate in the tip pool, with tips typically averaging an additional $4–$10 per hour, depending on business levels.

Wednesday: Full shift at The Knoll (Prep & Lunch Service | 10:00 AM–5:00 PM)
Thursday–Saturday:
Lunch Service at The Knoll (10:00 AM–5:00 PM)
Dinner Service at J's Restaurant (5:00 PM–9:00 PM)
Sunday: Full shift at The Knoll (10:00 AM–5:00 PM)

Typical Hours

Wednesday: 10:00 AM–5:00 PM
Thursday–Saturday: 10:00 AM–9:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM–5:00 PM

November – March

Thursday & Friday: Lunch and Dinner Service at J's Restaurant
Saturday:
Operate The Knoll during daytime service (10:30 AM–4:30 PM)
Dinner Service at J's Restaurant
Sunday: Operate The Knoll (10:00 AM–5:00 PM)

Responsibilities

Operate The Knoll kitchen
Prepare and execute The Knoll menu during high-volume lunch service.
Support dinner service at J's Restaurant Thursday through Saturday.
Complete daily prep for both kitchen operations.
Execute food with speed, consistency, and attention to quality.
Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen.
Assist with inventory, stocking, ordering, and end-of-day closing duties.
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
Work collaboratively with the culinary and front-of-house teams to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of professional line cook experience.
Ability to work independently and manage a kitchen with minimal supervision.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Availability to work weekends and evenings.
Willingness to complete a paid working interview.
