Now Hiring: Senior Graphic Designer
The Senior Graphic Designer leads the development and execution of high-quality visual communications that strengthen Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union’s brand, support strategic marketing initiatives, and enhance the member experience.
The Senior Graphic Designer serves as a key member of the Marketing team and partners with internal stakeholders and external vendors as the organization’s primary creative resource. This role communicates the Credit Union’s products, services, community involvement, and brand values through compelling visual content across print, digital, web, social media, email, advertising, corporate communications, and branch signage while ensuring consistency with the Credit Union’s brand standards.
The Senior Graphic Designer manages multiple projects simultaneously, stays current with design trends, technologies, and best practices, and provides creative direction that supports organizational objectives, member engagement, and business growth.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Leads the development of creative designs for print, digital, social media, email, video, advertising, web, presentations, in-branch displays and other marketing materials that support organizational goals and brand standards.

Maintains and evolves Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union’s visual identity, ensuring brand consistency across all member-facing and internal communications.

Collaborates with Marketing leadership and internal stakeholders to translate business objectives into effective creative solutions that engage members and drive results.

Creates production-ready artwork and prepares files for print and digital distribution while ensuring technical specifications and quality standards are met.

Maintains organized digital asset libraries, templates, and brand resources to improve efficiency and ensure consistency.

Coordinates with external vendors to oversee production schedules, proofs, and final deliverables.

Reviews proofs and final deliverables to ensure accuracy, branch compliance, and production quality.

Researches emerging design trends, software, and production techniques and recommends innovative approaches to enhance marketing effectiveness.

Ensures all creative materials comply with applicable regulatory requirements, accessibility considerations, and organizational standards.

Supports special events, community initiatives, sponsorships, and internal communications through creative design and promotional materials.

Perform all duties consistent with applicable Federal and State laws and regulations as well as credit union policies.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. The Senior Graphic Designer may provide creative guidance, project leadership, and mentorship to team members and external partners as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge

Knowledge of graphic design principles, typography, color theory, layout, branding, and visual communication best practices.

Knowledge of print production processes, digital publishing standards, file preparation, and vendor specifications.

Knowledge of marketing principles, advertising concepts, and integrated marketing communications.

Knowledge of brand management and maintaining visual consistency across multiple communication channels.

Knowledge of accessibility standards and design considerations for digital communications.

Knowledge of project management practices and creative workflow processes.
Skills

Advanced graphic design and visual communication skills.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Lightroom.

Strong creative thinking and concept development skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong project management, organization, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.

Effective collaboration and interpersonal skills.

Some knowledge of video production and content editing a plus.

Education and/or Experience

5-7 years of related experience required. Experience withing the financial industry of knowledge of banking and/or Credit Union specific products and services is preferred; and

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, Marketing, or a related field required; and

Demonstrated portfolio showcasing expertise in print, digital, branding, and marketing communications; or
-
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
