Full Job Description

We are partnering with a leading contractor specializing in trenchless pipeline rehabilitation, underground utility construction, and water infrastructure improvements throughout New England. Their work focuses on helping municipalities and utility owners repair, rehabilitate, and extend the life of aging water, sewer, and utility systems while minimizing disruption to surrounding communities. They are seeking a Resident Project Representative / Project Manager to support ongoing underground utility rehabilitation and watermain improvement projects throughout the Malden, MA area, with work potentially extending into Everett, East Boston, and neighboring communities.

This position is a unique blend of Project Management and Resident Project Representative (RPR) responsibilities, offering a balance of field oversight and project coordination. The ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison between contractors, subcontractors, municipal representatives, and internal project teams while helping keep projects on schedule, documenting daily operations, and ensuring construction activities are completed safely and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with underground utility, water/wastewater, heavy civil, or municipal infrastructure experience who enjoys being actively involved in project execution.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide field oversight of underground utility rehabilitation, watermain lining, and replacement projects
Monitor daily construction activities and document project progress
Coordinate communication between contractors, subcontractors, municipal representatives, inspectors, and internal teams
Assist with schedule tracking and help ensure projects remain on time and within scope
Identify and help resolve field issues as they arise throughout construction
Maintain project documentation, reports, and daily logs
Utilize project management software to track progress, reporting, and project updates
Support quality control, safety compliance, and overall project execution efforts

Qualifications:

Experience within heavy civil, underground utility, water/wastewater, municipal infrastructure, or construction management environments
Previous experience as a Resident Project Representative (RPR), Construction Inspector, Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, Project Manager, or similar role preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to work directly with multiple stakeholders
Comfortable spending time both in the field and managing project documentation
Ability to read construction plans, specifications, and project schedules
Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn project management software platforms

Pay Range: $45.00/hr. - $55.00/hr.
