Full Job Description

Overview

Skilled administrative work, supporting the operations of the Planning Board, and assisting the public, responding to requests for assistance; all other related work, as required. This position is generally scheduled for for to five days per week, not to exceed 19.5 hours per week. Specific schedule will be determined upon hiring.

Requirements:

Educations and Experience

High school graduate including, or supplemented by, courses in office procedures and secretarial skills; two years of office experience preferred; experience working with the public; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Ability and Skill

Knowledge of professional office practices and procedures; general knowledge of municipal government is a plus.

Ability to deal with the public in a courteous manner. Ability to understand and follow instructions; ability to keep detailed records of financial transactions. Ability to use a computer and learn various programs. Ability to meet multiple demands.

Skill. Excellent typing, secretarial and computer skills, including som proficiency with web-based collaboration platforms such as Sharepoint; Adobe; MS Office, data management and spreadsheet applications required. Skill and ability in operating standard office equipment. Good communication skills and customer service skills.

Pay: $20.68 - $21.30 per hour

Work Location: In person
