Position Overview:

We are looking for a detail oriented Accountant to join our finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial health and integrity of our organization by managing a wide range of accounting functions. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, proficiency with financial software, and a passion for accuracy and compliance. As an integral part of our team, you will ensure that financial records are precise, timely, and aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, ensuring compliance.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using financial software such as Sage.
Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to verify accuracy of financial data.
Record journal entries accurately, including debits & credits, ensuring proper double entry bookkeeping practices.
Conduct month end and year end closing procedures, including balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis.
Assist with payroll management ensuring timely processing and compliance with tax regulations.
Support internal controls by adhering compliance measures and participating in audits.
Utilize Excel for data analysis, budgeting, and financial modeling to support decision making processes.
Maintain detailed documentation of accounting transactions and support audit preparations with clear records.

Requirements

Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a strong understanding of accounting concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger management.
Proficiency with accounting software systems like Sage
Familiarity with financial software and payroll systems.
Strong numeracy skills combined with excellent data entry accuracy
Ability to perform account reconciliation tasks efficiently while maintaining high attention to detail.
Excellent analytical skills paired with the ability to interpret financial data for reporting purposes.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced setting.
