Full Job Description

Join a Collaborative, Child-Centered Therapy Team

Rockford Speech Therapy is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our growing team. We are a therapist-owned private practice dedicated to helping children and families thrive through individualized, evidence-based care.

We are looking for an OT who enjoys building meaningful relationships with children and families and is passionate about supporting sensory regulation, feeding, fine motor development, self-care skills, and participation in everyday activities.

Responsibilities

Conduct pediatric occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide engaging, evidence-based therapy services for children
Address sensory processing, emotional regulation, fine motor skills, visual motor integration, executive functioning, self-care skills, feeding challenges, and participation in daily routines
Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, schools, and other professionals
Maintain timely documentation and progress reports
Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration and treatment planning

Skills

Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
Current Michigan Occupational Therapy license or eligibility for licensure
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team
Pediatric experience preferred
Experience with sensory processing and feeding therapy strongly preferred
Experience supporting autistic children and other neurodiverse learners is a plus
New graduates with pediatric fieldwork experience are encouraged to apply
