Lead Child Care Teacher

Gold Crest Child Care Center — Adams, NE

Pay: $16.50 / hour

Job Type: Full-time | Day Shift | Monday – Friday (No weekends!)

Commute Note: Easy, scenic 35-minute drive from South Lincoln and 25 minutes from Beatrice!

About the Role

Gold Crest Child Care Center is looking for an enthusiastic Lead Child Care Teacher to join our passionate team! If you love early childhood development, building strong relationships with families, and believe early education should be centered on fun and learning, your search ends here!

State Licensing Requirements (Nebraska DHHS)

To be qualified for this position under Nebraska DHHS regulations, candidates must meet ONE of the following criteria:

Degree Path: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education / Child Development OR
Experience Path: High School Diploma/GED PLUS 1,500 hours of verifiable experience in an organized group child care setting (e.g., licensed center, preschool, or school-age program).

Important: Per state regulations, private 1-on-1 babysitting or home nannying does NOT count toward the 1,500-hour group requirement. Applicants using the experience path must be able to provide employment verification from a former licensed center or group employer.Why Join Gold Crest?

What You Will Do

As a Lead Child Care Teacher, you will help nurture young minds in an engaging, safe, and positive environment. Key responsibilities include:

Curriculum & Learning: Deliver age-appropriate programs that foster curiosity, creativity, and social development.
Classroom Environment: Keep the classroom safe, clean, organized, and focused on active learning.
Family Engagement: Build trusting connections with parents and keep them informed about daily activities and milestones.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with co-teachers and classroom associates, floating flexibly to support multiple age groups when needed.

Additional Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (Required); coursework in ECE is a major plus.
High energy, patience, and strong communication skills to connect with children and parents.
Ability to pass a required state background check and meet all licensing standards.
