Job description:

Legionnaire Law Firm, PLLC is a growing law firm in Dallas, Texas which handles various legal matters in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. We are looking for a part-time (in-person, approximately 25 hours a week) legal assistant. Our new hire will have a key role in the firm by handling potential client intake, communicating with active clients and assisting them as needed, communicating with third parties, preparing, handling, organizing, and filing legal documents, among other job tasks.

Qualifications:

Polite, courteous, and professional (required)
Proficiency in administrative and computer skills (required)
Maintain confidentiality of clients’ information, files, and cases (required)
Highly organized and detail-oriented (required)
Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle to travel to courthouse or post office as needed (required)
Willingness to learn (required)
Ability to multi-task (required)
Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
Experience in answering phone calls in a business setting (preferred)
Experience in legal field (preferred)
Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)

Responsibilities:

Answer office phone and return any missed calls or voicemails. Input potential clients into case database.
Keep track of clients’ cases and deadlines.
Assist clients as needed.
Attend meetings with clients or prospective clients.
Assist with discovery proceedings, document production, prepare exhibits, and upload documents to case database.
Mail legal documents at post office.
Call clients to remind them of payments.
Maintain appointment and case calendar.
E-file and save case documents.
Assist in hearing/trial preparation.
Other job duties as assigned.

5-hour shift (9:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.) (subject to modification as needed)
Monday to Friday
No weekends

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Education:
