JOB SUMMARY
Vaco is currently seeking a Senior Cisco Secure Firewall Engineer for a 7M+ Contract (w/ likely extensions) that is remote based. The Senior Cisco Secure Firewall Engineer will support a large-scale enterprise security environment, focusing on managing and securing the Cisco firewall infrastructure, specifically Cisco Secure Firewall (FTD), while ensuring day-to-day operational stability and security compliance. The Senior Cisco Secure Firewall Engineer will handle daily firewall operations, troubleshoot connectivity and security issues, review and implement firewall policy changes, and ensure requested access changes are secure and properly validated before deployment. The Senior Cisco Secure Firewall Engineer will closely collaborate with external engineering and support teams to assist with enhancements, new feature implementations, and ongoing optimization of the firewall platform. The Senior Cisco Secure Firewall Engineer is hands-on requiring deep expertise with Cisco Secure Firewall (FTD) and Security Cloud Control, along with strong experience in enterprise firewall administration, security policy management, incident troubleshooting, and operational support within complex environments.
