Full Job Description

Silkway Express LLC is now hiring Delivery Drivers for immediate openings. We are a Veteran-Owned Amazon Delivery Service Partner (DSP).

Looking for a quick hiring process and an opportunity to boost your income this summer? This is a great seasonal opportunity offering consistent hours, bi-weekly pay, and potential long-term opportunities after the season ends.

Enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and driving safe company-provided delivery vans — no personal vehicle required. Join a growing team and start earning quickly! The hiring process typically takes approximately 1 week.

Delivery Drivers are responsible for safely and efficiently transporting and delivering packages to customers in a timely manner. Successful drivers enjoy working outdoors, driving, staying active, putting safety first, and providing excellent customer service while meeting customer expectations.

Delivery vans and uniforms will be provided.

Benefits & Pay:

$22.50 per hr starting pay
Biweekly pay
Overtime opportunities. Any work above 40 hrs paid as overtime $33.75 per hr. *Working 6 days a week can make $1300-$1400 per week
Paid 30-minute break during your shift and 30 min unpaid break
Opportunity for weekly performance incentives and bonuses
Paid Training
Company VAN will be provided as well as uniforms
Opportunity for an advancement within a company
$125 credit toward the purchase of work boots

Qualifications:

Must be at least 21 years old
Must have valid state driver’s license
Ability to lift up to 50 LBS
Reliable and able to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced work environment

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of delivery vehicles such as cargo VAN
- Load and unload cargo following specific handling procedures
- Keep pace in physically demanding job; work in all weather conditions; lift packages (up to 50 lbs.); get in and out of a van repeatedly throughout the day at variable locations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays
- Adhere to all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record
- Perform regular vehicle inspections and maintenance checks

-Use smart phone device for GPS Navigation, scanning packages, conducting administrative requirements such as clocking in/out, and to communicate with supervisors and other team members

Delivery is a physically demanding job. Here is what you can expect in a standard shift as a delivery driver:

- 300 lbs of packages hand loaded in to delivery van and delivered over 100-150 stops

-Walking approximately 4–5 miles daily, including load-out activities and deliveries

-Navigating delivery areas using GPS and delivery applications

-Frequently entering and exiting the delivery van throughout the shift

-Working in various weather conditions while maintaining safe delivery practices
