Role details
- 1099 contractor, project-based.
- Fully remote. Must reside in the U.S. and provide all services from within the 50 states or Washington, DC.
- $40 per hour, flat rate.
- Typical project length: 2 to 8 weeks; varies.
- Minimum 40 hours per workweek; additional hours and weekend work possible. Standard operating hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. CST, Monday to Friday, adjustable based on project needs.
- Works through the direction of the project's Review Manager.
What the role is
- Run workflows for the Review Manager — responsiveness, fact-finding, privilege review and logging, quality control, redactions. Move the work; protect the quality.
- Quality-control the team's output and improve the QC process itself. You catch and fix errors — and get to the root cause.
- Identify documents that are candidates for defensible mass handling and bring them to the Review Manager with a recommendation, not a question.
- Suggest workflow and efficiency improvements as soon as you see them. Bring the idea and the rationale.
- Become a project subject-matter expert. Be the team's reliable resource on substance.
- Spot talent on the review team. Flag 1Ls who could grow into Contract Lead roles and tell us why.
- Demonstrate fluent command of the EDRM and modern eDiscovery workflow.

Minimum requirements
- Active U.S. law license in good standing (any U.S. jurisdiction); all licenses maintained in good standing.
- 2+ years of review-management experience as a Team Lead or Review Manager.
- Prior experience supporting project leadership in managing teams of review attorneys across a full range of workflows: responsiveness, fact-finding, investigations, privilege review and logging, quality control, and redaction.
- Strong proficiency in RelativityOne, including complex searches, metrics reporting, and use of aiR and AI-assisted review tools.
- At least one year of recent quality-control experience on managed review projects.
- Comfort using O365 applications preferred.
- Review-platform certifications a plus.
Technology requirements
- High-speed internet in a private home office.
- Computer: Windows 11 PC (or newer), or MacBook with macOS 14.0 or later.
- Mobile device for MFA only: Android 12+ or iOS 17.0+.
- Headset and webcam for video meetings.
- Tablets are not supported for review but can be used for MFA.
