The Opportunity
This position works out of our Arecibo location in the CRM division.
As a global leader in Cardiac Rhythm Technologies, we focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.
Shift: First shift- Monday to Friday
As the Associate Project Engineer you will support
to manage and execute cost improvement, product/process, and technology transfer projects thru the different phases. Will support New Products Introduction (NPI) and Process transfer activities in a regulated manufacturing environment. Will be responsible to generate and execute validation protocols and coordinate work with corresponding functional areas for new or replaced equipment, or process changes.
What You’ll Do
- Supports and executes cost improvement, product/process, and technology transfer projects across site.
- Contributes to New Product Introduction (NPI), process transfers, and Operational Excellence (OPEX) initiatives in a regulated environment

Generates and executes validation protocols for equipment and processes

Coordinates cross-functional activities to ensure successful project implementation

Leads implementation of new or modified equipment and processes for cost reduction improvement.

Evaluates manufacturing operations, including human factors, quality, inventory control, and production flow

Identifies and implements efficiency and productivity improvement projects
-
Optimizes resource utilization and establishes effective operational methods

Supports cost control and cost reduction initiatives
-
Applies data analysis, engineering principles, and continuous improvement methodologies
-
Drives sustainable process performance and operational excellence
-

Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in engineering.
-
0-2 years of exposure in Operational Excellence, Process Validation and Development within the Medical Device Industry or Pharmaceutical Industries.
-
Have background/knowledge in applications and software such as Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Power Point, SolidWorks.
-
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
-
Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in both English and Spanish.

Knowledge in the application and principles of Manufacturing/Process Engineering.

Knowledge in Project Management.

Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work successfully in cross functional teams.

Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.

Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment.
Preferred Qualifications

Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish).

Candidate/incumbents should possess the following: - ability to form and develop interpersonal, professional relationships; display socially and professionally appropriate behavior.

Ability to work independently and in groups; ability to work cross functionally; demonstrated initiate and problem-solving skills, critical thinking and ability or aptitude to use various types of databases and another computers software like Python and Auto CAD.

The base pay for this position is $45,000.00 – $89,800.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
