Role Overview

The Personal Lines Risk Advisor is responsible for helping individuals and families identify, understand, and address their insurance needs through thoughtful risk analysis, professional guidance, and genuine advocacy.

This is a production-focused sales role. Agency-provided lead flow gives every advisor a strong foundation - inbound opportunities, referrals, and re-engagement leads that consistently support real production. But we're looking for someone who treats that foundation as a floor, not a ceiling: a self-starter who also builds their own referral relationships, prospects proactively, and drives production beyond what any lead source alone would provide.

Successful advisors build trust quickly, uncover real needs, identify coverage gaps, and guide clients to confident decisions — then ensure each client is fully set up and warmly introduced to our service team for ongoing account support.

The ideal candidate brings insurance experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to advise withconfidence while embracing the ALLCHOICE way of building trust — even in a role focused on sales production rather than long-term account management.

What You'll Do

Work agency-provided leads (inbound, referred, and re-engagement) as a consistent production base
Proactively build your own referral network and pipeline beyond agency-provided leads
Conduct needs-based conversations with prospects and clients
Advise clients on personal insurance solutions including auto, home, umbrella, flood, and life insurance
Answer inbound calls and perform lead intake conversations
Identify cross-sell and account-rounding opportunities, including life insurance
Prepare and present insurance proposals
Consistently follow up with prospects throughout the sales process
Build genuine trust and rapport that reflects well on ALLCHOICE, even in a single-transaction relationship
Confirm clients have all necessary documents, applications, and forms before issuance is complete
Personally introduce each client to our service team, ensuring a smooth, warm transition for ongoing account support
Remain available for advice after the sale, even though day-to-day servicing is handled by our service and claims teams
Maintain accurate documentation within agency systems
Follow agency sales processes, workflows, and communication standards
Participate in training, coaching, and professional development opportunities

What Success Looks Like

Successful Personal Lines Risk Advisors at ALLCHOICE:

Learn and execute the ALLCHOICE sales process
Understand our client avatar and ideal prospect profile
Consistently work opportunities through the agency pipeline
Build a personal referral network and prospecting pipeline that extends beyond agency-provided leads
Demonstrate strong stewardship of the opportunities provided
Maintain consistent communication and follow-up
Identify and address client risks through multiple product solutions
Become proficient in agency systems, workflows, and processes
Understand the client journey from initial contact through policy issuance and onboarding
Contribute to agency growth through consistent production and client retention

A successful advisor will ramp into production during the first several months and ultimately maintain performance levels consistent with agency expectations.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is:

Actively licensed in North Carolina for Property & Casualty and Life Insurance (required)
Curious and skilled at uncovering client needs
Confident in advising clients rather than simply quoting policies
Highly disciplined with follow-up and communication
Coachable and willing to embrace established processes - Driven to continuously improve professionally
Organized and able to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
Comfortable using technology, automation, and agency systems
Self-motivated and proactive — treats provided leads as a floor, not the whole job
Skilled at building genuine referral relationships and community/professional networks

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience selling personal lines insurance
Working knowledge of home, auto, umbrella, flood, and life insurance products
Experience working within a CRM or agency management system
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Compensation

$35,000 base salary, providing income stability while you build production
Uncapped, escalating new-business bonus — your bonus rate increases automatically as your monthly production increases. The more you write, the higher your rate on every dollar of that month's production
Agency-provided lead flow designed to support consistent production without requiring you to build your pipeline from scratch — you're working warm opportunities, not cold-calling strangers
Uncapped life insurance commission, paid in addition to your P&C bonus, on every life policy you write

This is a production-driven role: the harder and smarter you work your pipeline, the more your income grows - with no ceiling.

Where You'll Work

This is an in-office position based in our Winston-Salem office (401 Olive St, Winston-Salem, NC 27103).

Consistent in-office presence during business hours is essential to this role's success — from responding to time-sensitive leads to staying connected with the team and service partners.

This role reports directly to Jared Bellmund, Director of Sales & Marketing, and offers direct mentorship and close collaboration with agency leadership.
