Remote Chief Executive Officer (Franchise Growth & Operations)

Remote in the United States - Approximately 10% Travel

Lead the Next Phase of Growth for One of America's Largest Tax Franchise Brands

ATAX is looking for a growth-minded CEO to lead and scale a nationally recognized franchise organization serving communities across the United States.

This is more than an executive leadership role. It's an opportunity to shape the future of a respected brand, expand its national footprint, strengthen franchisee success, and drive innovation across a thriving network of entrepreneurs.

We're seeking a strategic, hands-on leader who understands franchising, business growth, operational excellence, and relationship building. The ideal candidate is energized by helping franchise owners succeed while identifying new opportunities to grow the brand and enter new markets.

What You'll Do

Drive the Future of the Brand

Develop and execute the strategic vision for ATAX
Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and market expansion
Lead initiatives that strengthen brand positioning and competitive advantage
Guide long-term planning while maintaining operational excellence

Champion Franchisee Success

Lead the team responsible for supporting franchisees nationwide
Ensure franchise owners have the tools, training, systems, and resources needed to thrive
Build strong relationships across the franchise network
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Expand the Franchise Network

Drive franchise development and growth initiatives
Identify and evaluate new markets and expansion opportunities
Support franchise recruitment efforts and successful onboarding of new owners
Help create an environment where franchisees can achieve long-term profitability

Lead a High-Performing Organization

Inspire and develop a talented team of professionals
Align operations, marketing, training, technology, and finance around strategic goals
Oversee budgeting, financial planning, and organizational performance
Implement scalable processes and technology solutions that support future growth

Represent the Brand

Serve as a visible leader within the franchising and financial services industries
Build relationships with key partners, vendors, and stakeholders
Represent ATAX at conferences, industry events, and leadership forums

Executive leadership experience within franchising, multi-unit operations, financial services, professional services, or related industries
Demonstrated success leading organizations through growth and expansion
Experience supporting franchisees, business owners, or distributed operating models
Strong financial and operational leadership capabilities
Proven ability to implement scalable systems, processes, and technology
Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus
