Job Description: Licensed Therapist, Channeled Paths Inc.

Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Therapist to join our team dedicated to removing barriers to professional mental health counseling for all. As an independent contractor, you will play a vital role in providing mental health support, counseling, and guidance to young individuals facing various challenges in their lives. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of at-risk and underserved individuals and families.

Responsibilities:

Provide Individual Counseling: Conduct individual counseling sessions with underserved youth to address a wide range of mental health concerns, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues.
Develop Treatment Plans: Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs, goals, and circumstances. Monitor progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary.
Crisis Intervention: Offer crisis intervention services and support to youth experiencing acute mental health crises or emergencies. Work closely with other team members and external resources to ensure timely and effective crisis management.
Group Therapy (optional): Facilitate group therapy sessions for underserved youth, providing a supportive environment for peer interaction, skill-building, and emotional expression.
Collaboration and Referral: Coordinate with other mental health professionals, social workers, educators, and community organizations to ensure holistic support for youth clients. Make appropriate referrals for additional services or resources as needed.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including assessment notes, treatment plans, progress reports, and any relevant documentation. Adhere to confidentiality and privacy regulations in all record-keeping activities.
Community Outreach: Participate in community outreach initiatives aimed at raising awareness of mental health issues among underserved youth populations. Represent the counseling center at events, workshops, and networking opportunities as needed.
Professional Development: Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in the field of youth mental health counseling. Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Current state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Psychologist (PsyD/PhD).
Experience working with underserved youth populations, preferably in a community-based or non-profit setting.
Strong clinical skills in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and crisis management skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Commitment to cultural competency, diversity, equity, and inclusion in mental health practice.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time independent contractor position with flexible scheduling options.
Compensation will be provided on a fee-for-service basis, commensurate with experience and caseload.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a background check and adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
