Summary :
Prospects new Medicare and Individual/Family members that are considering enrollment in Medicare Advantage or Individual/Family enrollment into SummaCare products. Specializes in educating these eligible prospects on plan benefits and facilitates the membership applications for interested prospects. Skilled in building strong client relationships and conducting needs assessments to assist prospects in choosing the optimal coverage. Skilled at lead generation and community outreach. Holds meetings externally in various community locations around our service area and through webinars to assist in the education of our product offering.
As a Captive Agent you work for one insurance company, SummaCare. You can only sell SummaCare products and cannot help individuals outside of SummaCare offerings and cannot be appointed with any other carrier for any product lines.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Formal Education Required :
a. Associates Degree or may substitute with 2 years of like experience.

2. Experience & Training Required :
a. 1+ years performing same or similar responsibilities. Relevant experience includes: Phone sales/prospecting skills, sales cycle follow up, and calendar maintenance.
b. Health & Accident License (must be met within sixty days from date of hire).

3. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
a. Maintain expert knowledge with population to be serviced in our Individual products, Medicare Individual/Group products.
b. Demonstrate working knowledge of other products SummaCare sells that can transition into products sold.
c. Demonstrate verifiable ability to appropriately interact with members having complex and sensitive medical problems.
d. Work autonomously in a self-directed manner.
e. Organize and manage time to accurately complete tasks within designated time frames in fast-paced results driven environment.
f. Maintain full scope and knowledge of and comply with regulatory and company policies & procedures.
g. Maintain confidentiality of member health and business information.
h. Flexible: ability to adjust work hours to meet business demands.
i. Ability to travel from location to location throughout the work day.

4. Level of Physical Demands:
a. Medium: Exerts 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or ten to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force continuously to move objects.
b. Sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
c. Bend, stoop, or stretch.
d. Lift up to 40 pounds & be able to transport.
e. Manual dexterity to operate computer, phone, and standard office machines.

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
