Full Job Description

Credit Union Teller
We are currently seeking candidates with experience as a Teller or in a cash-handling customer service role for a Teller position with a local Credit Union in Hudson.

In this position you will be dealing directly with credit union members and potential members, providing a variety of member service functions involving the receipting and/or disbursing of funds in accordance with existing procedures and systems. Work might be performed on the teller platform or at the Drive-thru windows or call center.

Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm (Friday hours may vary)
Occasional Saturdays, 8:30am - 1:00pm (would have a day off during the week)

Pay:

$17.00/hour

Key Responsibilities:

Provide services for members, in person, by telephone or by mail
Process deposits to share, share draft, and other savings accounts
Disburse cash or check withdrawals
Provide traveler checks, stamps, tickets and cash advances
Complete payroll deduction requests
Receive loan payments and service charge payments for services
Process transfers between accounts as required
Process automatic distribution forms, recording allotments according to member's request
Operate on-line teller terminal and accurately record amounts received and prepares reports of transactions
Perform such other duties as might be assigned from time to time, including but not limited to, check encoding, ATM machine balancing, address changes, filing, answer telephone, process mail, and assist
employees in other departments as required.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must have cash-handling experience in a customer-facing role, Teller experience preferred
The ability to handle cash transactions accurately and process a significant amount of transactions per week
Sound interpersonal skills and a cooperative, positive attitude towards members and fellow employees.
The ability to receive members in person and by telephone
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Must be able to pass a background check, credit check, and drug screen
