Full Job Description

At Spitz, The Employee's Law Firm, you won't spend years doing document review or waiting for meaningful responsibility. From the start, you'll work directly with clients, develop litigation strategy, negotiate cases, take depositions, argue motions, and prepare cases for trial.

What You'll Do

Meet directly with clients and evaluate employment law claims
Draft demand letters, pleadings, motions, and discovery
Develop case strategy and negotiate settlements
Take and defend depositions
Attend hearings, mediations, and court conferences
Prepare cases for trial
Work alongside experienced trial attorneys while quickly developing your own litigation skills

Qualifications

Required

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in Ohio or eligible for prompt admission
Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Desire to build a career as a litigation attorney

Preferred

1-5 years of litigation or employment law experience
Deposition, motion practice, or courtroom experience
Employment law, labor law, or civil litigation experience

Employment law experience is welcomed but not required. We value work ethic, judgment, empathy, and the desire to become an exceptional trial attorney above prior experience.
