We are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow in the lab of Dr. Xinwen Wang who wants to contribute to meaningful work in a collaborative academic environment.
The successful candidate will engage in both independent and collaborative research activities, including designing, conducting, and analyzing scientific experiments. Strong skills in animal experimentation are required, and experience in mass spectrometry–based analysis is a plus. The candidate is expected to present research findings and maintain up-to-date knowledge of current scientific literature.

Department Specific Responsibilities
- Independent and Collaborative Research: Conduct independent and team-based research under the guidance of the Principal Investigator. Design and execute experiments, develop and optimize experimental systems, collect and analyze data, and prepare manuscripts for publication. Animal experimentation skills are required, and experience in omics-based research using mass spectrometry (e.g., proteomics, metabolomics) is a plus.
- Presentations and Scholarly Communication: Prepare and deliver presentations of research findings at group meetings, institutional seminars, and scientific conferences. Contribute to grant writing and manuscript preparation.
- Laboratory Management and Compliance: Maintain laboratory organization, cleanliness, and safety. Ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations, including protocols related to animal research.
- Training and Mentorship: Assist in training and mentoring graduate students, undergraduate students, and research staff in experimental techniques and laboratory procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with animal studies, e.g., transgenic mice (required for strong consideration)
- Expertise in mass spectrometry–based analysis
- Background in pharmacokinetics and drug metabolism
- Experience in omics research (e.g., metabolomics, proteomics, or related fields)
Starting Salary Range: $53,650 – $63,486, commensurate with experience.
