Who We Serve
We provide on-site multimodal brain-body engagement programs in:
- Memory care & dementia communities
- Assisted & independent living
- Skilled nursing facilities
- Special needs and wheelchair-bound populations
We are seeking a compassionate Fitness Class Leader who can provide gentle, engaging, and adaptable classes for seniors and individuals with different physical and cognitive abilities.

- You have experience leading or teaching fitness based classes
- You understand how to modify movements for seated participants, mobility limitations, balance concerns, and different cognitive abilities.
This role is ideal for fitness professionals, therapists, educators, dancers or wellness professionals who want to do truly meaningful work.
What You’ll Do
- Lead safe, welcoming, and engaging classes for older adults and special populations
- Use clear demonstrations and simple verbal cueing.
- Support balance, coordination, flexibility, breathing, relaxation, focus, and confidence.
- Build rapport with residents, families, and facility staff
- Represent Cognova with professionalism and heart
- Create moments of joy, confidence, and connection in every class
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience teaching or practicing dance, fitness, health, or a related movement discipline
- Group fitness instructor, Personal Training or similar certification
- Current CPR/AED certification or the ability to obtain it
- Passion for working with older adults and/or individuals with disabilities
- College degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, or related field is a plus (not required)
Schedule & Pay
- Part-time: 2-5 hours per week
- Location: In-person at local senior-living communities
- Consistent weekly schedule
