Full Job Description

The GigaParts PC Service Department has a solid reputation for fast, reliable service and we need more Repair Technicians who can provide quick, courteous support over the phone or in person.

The preferred candidate is fired up about technology, enjoys learning and:

Diagnoses, troubleshoot, repair, configure, and test FDM 3D printers as the primary focus of this role, while also supporting repairs of computers and other electronic devices as needed.
Increase your knowledge of the products and services we sell and understand the benefit to the customer.
Develop and maintain expertise in Bambu Lab printers, accessories, software, and troubleshooting procedures.
Learn how our company works and identify opportunities for improvement.
Keep a clean and organized work area.
Anything else within reason (including general housekeeping duties or performing work in another department).
Deliver class-leading customer service to our customers, with an eye toward cost, through ingenuity, thoughtfulness, and respect.
Considering punctuality is an important facet of professionalism.
Is detail oriented and insists on accuracy with every task.
Is not bothered by customers behaving badly.
Presents him/herself and GigaParts in a professional manner and appearance;
Can pass a drug test (hair and urinalysis).
Has no criminal history.
Is capable of tasks involving some physical exertion including lifting and carrying 50 pounds and safely climbing ladders.
Has (or is able to acquire within two months) a Technician Radio license.

The ideal candidate has or can obtain these skills or certifications:

Diagnosing problems with Apple and Linux Operating Systems
Building hardware systems with varying degrees of difficulty
Remote management tools
Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing FDM, Resin, and UV 3D printers is strongly preferred and given greater consideration than general computer repair experience.
Experience with Bambu Lab printers and the Bambu Studio ecosystem preferred.
Familiarity with 3d printing software, e.g. UltiMaker Cura, Autodesk Fusion.
Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues using a systematic troubleshooting approach.
Strong and detailed documentation skills especially notation of repair cases.
Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues and repair recommendations to customers.
