Red Mountain Retail is currently seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to join our IT and Business Intelligence team. This position will be responsible for supporting and managing a program of business unit-focused initiatives designed to help business partners drive value from information. Contributes to Red Mountain’s success by ensuring business needs and goals are realized through analysis and reporting activities of the Business Intelligence Team.

Manage, mentor, and develop a team of BI analysts, developers, and data engineers.

Set team priorities, allocate resources across competing business requests, and manage project timelines.

Establish performance goals and conduct regular reviews for direct reports.

Recruit and onboard new BI talent as the team scales.

Own the roadmap for enterprise dashboards and selfservice reporting tools including advancements with artificial intelligence. (e.g., store sales performance, inventory turn, delivery performance, customer lifetime value, showroomtoshowroom comparisons).

Ensure that dashboards and KPIs are accurate, consistent, and aligned to how the business operates.

Standardize metric definitions across departments to eliminate "multiple versions of the truth".

Oversee BI tool administration (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Jira) including governance, licensing, and access management.

Serve as the primary BI liaison to Merchandising, Marketing, Store Operations,
Distribution/Logistics, and Finance leadership.

Translate ambiguous business questions into clear analytical projects and deliverables.

Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders and executive leadership.

Support seasonal planning cycles (e.g., promotional calendars, floorset/assortment planning, inventory forecasting) with timely data support.

Partner with other leaders to ensure the data warehouse and pipelines support retailspecific reporting needs (POS, ecommerce, inventory/ERP, delivery scheduling, CRM/loyalty).

Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reduce reporting latency, and automate manual processes.

Evaluate and recommend new BI tools, and AI tools, along with other technologies, or vendors as needed.

Lead deepdive analyses on topics such as customer segmentation, product/category performance, price and promotion effectiveness, showroom performance benchmarking, and delivery/logistics efficiency.

Identify trends, risks, and opportunities in retail sales performance and proactively surface them to leadership.

initiatives.

Bachelor's degree in business, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.

7+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related roles, with at least
2–3 years in a people-management or team-lead capacity.

Retail industry experience, with strong understanding of retail KPIs (sales per square foot, sellthrough, GMROI, comp sales, inventory turns, etc.); furniture/bigticket or specialty retail experience is a plus.

Proficiency with BI/visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or MS Fabric).

Strong SQL skills; experience working with large relational databases and/or cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).

Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for nontechnical stakeholders.

Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.

Master's degree preferred but not required.

Experience with retailspecific systems (POS, ecommerce platforms, inventory/ERP such as
STORIS, delivery/logistics scheduling systems, loyalty/CRM programs).

Familiarity with statistical analysis or predictive modeling (Python).

Experience supporting omnichannel retail (showroom + ecommerce) or deliverybased retail models.

Change management experience, particularly around driving BI/data adoption across an organization.
