SPG Therapy & Education is Hiring Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Education Specialists!

School-Based Positions | $90,000–$120,000 per year | 2026-2027 School Year

What We're Looking For

Valid California Education Specialist Credential with authorization to serve Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students
Experience supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in school-based settings
Knowledge of language acquisition, auditory access, and communication modalities, including spoken language, American Sign Language (ASL), and total communication
Proficiency in IEP development, case management, and educational assessments
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, interpreters, audiologists, and general education staff
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Passion for creating inclusive learning environments where every student can succeed

What You'll Be Doing

Provide specialized instruction and educational support for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across a variety of educational settings
Conduct educational assessments and contribute to comprehensive evaluation reports
Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals that support language, communication, academic achievement, and self-advocacy
Collaborate with families, classroom teachers, speech-language pathologists, audiologists, interpreters, and other related service providers
Support classroom accommodations and access to instruction through assistive listening technology and communication supports
Monitor student progress through ongoing data collection and progress reporting
Consult with school teams to promote accessible, inclusive educational practices that support student success
