Full-Time | Day Shift | Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
$57.31-$80.90/hr. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.

PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. Join a collaborative rural imaging team where you'll have the opportunity to utilize and expand your technical expertise. This role offers a high level of autonomy and allows technologists to utilize the full scope of their nuclear medicine expertise, including generator elution, kit preparation, radiopharmaceutical compounding, and quality control. Candidates with experience in an additional imaging modality are highly encouraged to apply.

Perform all routine and specialized nuclear medicine procedures by integrating medical knowledge and technical skills with effective patient interaction to provide quality patient care and accurate diagnostic information.

Operates computer and nuclear medicine equipment for data acquisition, reconstruction, and documentation of images and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images.

Prepares, calibrates, and administers radiopharmaceuticals according to protocol.

Maintain records of receipt, dispensing, and disposal of radioactive materials. Maintain records of equipment quality control, radiation monitoring, and surveys.

Performs other patient care activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned consistent with caregiver’s scope of practice, training, experience, and license/certification/registration.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Accredited Program Required: Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent

Minimum of 1 year prior experience preferred

Demonstrated venipuncture competency

Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (CNMT or ARRT-N are acceptable).

Working Conditions: Physical duties include frequent movement, patient care activities, and handling equipment up to 30 lbs. Exposure to biohazard, bodily fluids and airborne contaminants. Requires effective communication, vision, and hearing (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted).
