Job Title: Accounting Clerk

Job Overview:

An Accounting Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the accounting department through various clerical and bookkeeping tasks. This role involves processing financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. It includes assisting the accounting staff with other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
Verify and reconcile invoices and payment discrepancies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the accounting system.
Record financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
Prepare and maintain accounting documents, including invoices, bank deposits, and general ledger postings.
File invoices and other documentation.
Work with appropriate staff to code and provide documentation for invoices or expense Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

Familiarity with basic accounting principles and terminology.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Strong mathematical skills and analytical thinking.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
