Full Job Description

Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer – Permanent

Location: Albany, GA
Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 4x10-Hour or 5x8-Hour Shifts
Start Times: Flexible

Weekend Requirement: Based on case volume; additional hours will be considered overtime if required.
On-Call Requirement: As discussed during the interview.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Echo Tech / General Sonographer to join our imaging team in Albany, Georgia, on a full-time permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Echocardiography and Vascular Ultrasound and be comfortable performing a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified sonographer looking for a stable, long-term position with flexible daytime scheduling and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including general, vascular, and echocardiography studies.
Obtain and optimize diagnostic images according to established protocols.
Perform vascular ultrasound examinations and accurately document findings.
Prepare patients for procedures, explain examinations, and provide compassionate patient care.
Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment safely and efficiently.
Evaluate image quality and obtain additional views or measurements as required.
Ensure accurate patient identification, documentation, and exam information.
Follow established infection control, radiation-free imaging, patient safety, and departmental protocols.
Communicate effectively with physicians, radiologists, cardiologists, and other members of the healthcare team.
Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
Assist with workflow and additional studies based on departmental needs.
Maintain professional credentials, certifications, and required documentation.

Required Qualifications

Echo and Vascular Ultrasound experience – Required.
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography/Ultrasound Technology program – Required.
ARDMS or CCI registration for Vascular Ultrasound – Required.
Valid driver's license – Required.
Must be able to provide a valid driver's license and required credentials upon request.
Must maintain a valid driver's license throughout employment.
Strong technical, organizational, and patient-care skills.

Schedule Flexibility

4x10-hour or 5x8-hour daytime schedule.
Start times are flexible and will be discussed based on department needs.
Weekend coverage may be required based on case volume.
Additional weekend hours, when necessary, will be treated as overtime.
On-call expectations will be discussed during the interview.
