Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are a small area law firm seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Estate Paralegal to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will provide comprehensive support for estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to meaningful legal work in an environment that values accuracy, proactive problem-solving and client support.

Duties

Assist attorneys with estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
Review and organize legal documents for accuracy and completeness.
Support probate and trust administration processes by preparing filings, notices, and correspondence; coordinate with clients, courts and beneficiaries.
Handle client communication professionally via phone, e-mail and written correspondence; gather necessary information for case preparation.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while managing multiple projects efficiently through strong organizational skills.
Provide executive administrative support including scheduling appointments, managing deadlines, and supporting overall office operations.

Requirements

Paralegal experience with a focus on probate law and estate planning.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and LexisNexis;
Demonstrate ability to handle confidential information with discretion; excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Effective client communication skills including professional phone etiquette is required.
Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy in all tasks.
Knowledge of estate planning strategies along with experience supporting estate administration processes is highly desirable.
Not required, but a licensed notary is preferred.
