Since 1986, PCL has focused on building meaningful partnerships with the people we support, their families, and our communities to foster dignity, respect, and social justice.

Job Overview

As a member of PCL’s Executive Management Team, this individual provides strategic leadership to the more than 650 team members employed by Partnerships in Community Living, Inc. (PCL). They do this by identifying the needs of the supervised department(s) and collaborating with the other members of PCL’s Executive Management Team and the Board of Directors on planning efforts. This can include long hours, including responding to executive-level needs, emails, and phone calls during evenings and weekends. To support the 50+ hour weekly momentum required for this role, we offer a highly flexible, trust-based environment where you manage your own calendar and can adjust your hours during lighter business cycles.

In addition to departmental leadership and supervision, this person supports the entire agency by engaging in large-scale system needs and changes. This includes managing funding and related matters, contributing to updates of the Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs), and participating in workgroups focused on promoting person-centered services. Together with two other Executive Officers of Life Services and Operations, this position will lead a cohesive Area Director team to fulfill the agency's mission while promoting what we value across all of PCL's Life Services and Operations for the people we support. Utilizing PCL's Board Directives and Playbook, this role will provide person-centered support that includes appreciation, celebrations, honest feedback, and clear, constructive criticism, while also fostering self-direction and ethical behavior at all levels.

Responsibilities

Ensure the services PCL provides align with PCL’s mission and values and the Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR), and promote individuality through a non-judgmental and inclusive approach.
Ensure that the Key Result Areas of PCL’s Board Directives are met.
Participate in the Executive On-Call rotation, which includes physical response.
Develop and monitor financial information (e.g., revenues and expenditures) and ensure operations remain within budget.
Lead and supervise assignees: developing teams to proactively, positively, and collaboratively work together and provide great services to the people they support.
Guide team members in understanding and implementing regulatory policies to ensure compliance and promote accountability.
Guide team members through complex dilemmas.
Resolve interpersonal conflicts early to maintain a harmonious work environment.
Support a culture that provides hope, fun, and mission in action at work.
Manage multiple projects and address changing priorities.
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality and ethical behavior.
Excellent critical-thinking skills across all levels of daily activities, planning, and decision-making. This includes a demonstrated ability to make reasoned judgments that are mission-based, logical, and well thought out.
Perform with the highest standard of personal and professional integrity and ethical behavior.

Experience

3+ years of experience in an executive-level position.
High school diploma/GED required; preference given to applicants with college degrees in related fields.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Background screening, including State/Federal Criminal History Check, employment, and education history.
Valid Driver's License with an insurable driving record.
Enhanced math skills – must be able to accurately balance a budget and basic math transactions.
Professional, clear, and positive oral and written communication skills both expressive and receptive.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English (reasonable accommodation may be made for some positions).
PCL’s Team members must have dependable, reliable, and regular work attendance, and must adhere to attendance policies.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Well-organized and attentive to detail.
Cooperative and willing to learn.
Ability to interpret various instructions.
