Job Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) and become a vital part of delivering exceptional diagnostic imaging services. In this role, you will operate advanced CT scanning equipment to produce detailed cross-sectional images of patients’ anatomy, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Your expertise will contribute to a fast-paced, patient-centered environment where precision, safety, and compassion are paramount. Title: CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)
Shift Schedule: 12 X 3- Nights- Fri-Sun, 7p-7a
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Contract Length: 17 Weeks
Location: Albany, Georgia
Start: 06/29/2026 (Tentative)

Duties

Years of Experience: 2 Years
Required Certifications: ARRT (CT), BLS Certification
Charting System: MEDITECH
Unit Notes: Strict 75 mile radius rule from the address on the traveler's drivers license.
GE 16 Slice Scanner, GE 6 slice, and Phillips Ingenuity- 264 slice Manager will do the interviews.
Perform high-quality CT scans using state-of-the-art imaging technology, ensuring optimal image clarity for diagnostic evaluation.
Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the exam.
Apply aseptic techniques and maintain strict infection control standards during all procedures.
Collaborate with radiologists, emergency room staff, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate urgent care and trauma assessments in a Level I Trauma Center environment.
Utilize comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to accurately interpret imaging requests and adjust protocols accordingly.
Conduct specialized scans including PET (Positron Emission Tomography), mammography, DEXA (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry), and nuclear medicine procedures as needed.
Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, patient information, and equipment calibration logs to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Stay current with advancements in diagnostic radiology techniques such as sonography, emergency medicine imaging, and Level II trauma center protocols to enhance service quality.

Proven experience operating CT scanners in a fast-paced medical setting; prior work in emergency room or trauma center environments is highly desirable.
Strong background in diagnostic radiology with knowledge of X-ray, nuclear medicine, PET scan, mammography, DEXA scan, and other medical imaging modalities.
Familiarity with emergency medicine procedures and Level I Trauma Center protocols to support urgent evaluations effectively.
Demonstrated understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology to accurately perform diagnostic assessments.
Experience working with diverse patient populations in urgent care or hospital settings; ability to adapt quickly in high-pressure situations.
Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent) with additional training or certification in nuclear medicine or mammography preferred.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices essential for maintaining safety standards across all imaging procedures.
