Full Job Description

Purpose

The business development position drives growth by developing and retaining a valuable and productive book of business for BLM Rentals. This business includes dedicated freight, open-top construction dumpster rentals, trailer storage, and ground-level container storage. As the business development manager, your primary responsibility is to aggressively discover and capture new business by engaging with clients via phone, email, and in person. In this role, you will nurture and expand existing relationships by ensuring high service levels and offering additional solutions to our customers.

Essential Functions

- Develop new business accounts and increase volume with existing accounts

- Design and execute account sales plan to achieve sales goal

- Build meaningful relationships with each account

- Actively generate new sales leads and convert them to revenue-generating accounts

- Communicate with the operations team to ensure execution and performance

- Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue and profit objectives

- Participate in special projects and other assigned duties as requested

Qualifications

- High energy, high engagement, high trust team player

- Extensive network of contacts

- Strong relationship-building and communication skills

- Ability to work independently, self-motivated

- Proficient with Outlook and Microsoft suite

- Highly effective negotiating skills

- Ability to write professional business correspondence

- Disciplined organizational and multi-tasking skills with strong attention to detail

- Demonstrates the ability to connect with others on a personal level to create openness and trust in the relationship, whether with team members, customers, or stakeholders

Education/Experience

- High school diploma preferred

- Clean driving record

- Experience/contacts in construction, truck-load freight, or storage solutions

- Direct selling experience preferred

Pay: From $36,000.00 per year
