Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team and ensure the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of our financial operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong technical expertise, and possess a passion for driving financial excellence across diverse sectors. Responsibilities

Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and relevant regulatory standards.
Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely processing and accuracy.
Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards.
Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and audit preparations to uphold financial integrity.
Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard confidential information and ensure adherence to accounting standards.
Mentor and develop team members by providing guidance on technical accounting issues such as complex transactions, tax compliance, and financial software utilization including Sage.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities to inform strategic decision-making.
Qualifications and skills:
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
2-3 years experience in accounting and finance roles with a strong background in corporate accounting practices.
Hands-on experience with various accounting software including Sage and Microsoft Office (especially Excel spreadsheets), and other financial management
Strong understanding of debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation processes, and journal entries.
Understands income statement with cost of goods sold, selling and marketing expenses, general and administrative expenses.
Demonstrated ability to mentor teams effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and prepare detailed reports.
High level of integrity in handling confidential information with strict adherence to compliance standards.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
