RESIDENTIAL SUPERVISOR:
Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, the role involves coordinating ongoing services for the residential youth in a residential 24-hour program. This position is designed to be able to “step in” to supervise staff and program whenever the Program Manager is on leave or otherwise unavailable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be at least 21 years old. Bachelor’s degree in a human service field from an accredited university and have one-year relevant experience with the target population; or, any combination of education and experience totaling five (5) years of experience working with the target population, and a minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience.
Extensive knowledge and experience working in a residential setting. Extensive knowledge of community resources and ability to work efficiently with public and private agency professionals.
Broad knowledge of assessment, service planning and service coordination in working with adolescents and families.
Ability to establish an effective professional manner in all dealings with clients and the public.
Ability to exhibit emotional maturity and good judgment, to include high moral standards and proper oral/written communication skills.
Must be dependable and flexible regarding working hours.
Ability to follow and carry out written and oral instructions, quickly and accurately.
Must be able to use discretion in all facets of work-related situations. Possess the ability to meet all deadlines while multi-tasking. Broad knowledge and experience in working with adolescents and their families. Must keep abreast of modern techniques and methods used in working with youth in a residential setting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Not Inclusive):

Will assist in setting up meetings with CYFD on a regular basis to coordinate discharge plans for clients.
Will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day programming, scheduling, intakes, and other related duties as assigned.
Will complete all referrals, interviews, and intakes for youth entering residential services.
Will assign staff to work with certain youth in the facility.
Will hold primary responsibility for coordinating ALL services and clinical care for residential youth, including assisting with referrals, and accessing other needed services.
Will provide life and social skills training that address goals specifically in budgeting, resume writing, job interviewing skills, etc.
Will assist in providing Case Management Services as needed.
Will assist with identifying and coordinating services and support identified in an individual’s service plan; supporting an individual and family in crisis situations.
Will work with the assigned Therapist and Case Manager to develop a comprehensive safety plan for each client.
Will review and approve notes from residential staff as needed.
Will assist the Case Manager in coordinating and facilitating treatment team meetings as indicated in the service plan.
Will monitor and evaluate the provision of client services on an ongoing basis.
Will provide maintenance services for clients that have stabilized and are not in need of intensive services.
Will maintain comprehensive client records and generate reports as required.
Will perform other duties that directly promote client well-being and self-sufficiency.
Will serve in a day-to-day supervisory role working alongside both Residential Staff and youth in program. Supervisory duties will include, but are not limited to; overseeing staff schedule, responding to day-to-day crisis calls, advising the Program Manager regarding technical and/or clinical incidents that need to be addressed, ensure policies and procedures are being followed, participate and/or facilitate staff meetings, ensure reports and files are completed and submitted in a timely manner, consult with and take direction from Program Manager.
Other duties as assigned.

JOB CHARACTERISTICS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This is a professional position which requires organizational and communication skills, as well as good judgment, tact and diplomacy in contacts with YDI employees, community residents, parents and local government agencies. Strict adherence is required to all regulation concerning confidentiality.

Background investigation to include fingerprinting will be required. Physical required at time of hire and may be required intermittently Position requires frequent travel. Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and proof of satisfactory car insurance is required. Must be able to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
