Video Producer / Editor

Primary Responsibilities
Capture high-quality video for weekend services, conferences, special events, ministry activities, Legacy Worship, promotional content, and special projects.
Film and edit a wide variety of content, including promotional videos, testimonies, interviews, recaps, creative elements, and narrative productions.
Capture compelling B-roll that supports ministry storytelling, events, services, and special projects.
Participate in more involved productions utilizing actors, props, sets, scripted scenes, lighting, and on-location filming.
Assist with planning and executing video productions, including shot lists, camera setup, composition, lighting, audio, blocking, and other production needs.
Operate professional cameras effectively in studio, live-event, and on-location environments.
Set up and adjust lighting for interviews, narrative productions, studio shoots, and on-location filming.
Create motion graphics, animated visuals, visual effects, and screen content for conferences, services, holidays, worship elements, and other large-scale productions.
Develop creative 16:9 video content specifically designed for LED screens, projection, and other in-room visual environments.
Edit dialogue, music, sound effects, and other audio as part of the post-production process.
Prepare and deliver video content for broadcast, web, app, social media, screens, and other platforms.
Assist with live video production during weekend services, conferences, and special events as assigned.
Collaborate with Creative, Production, ministry leaders, and other departments to develop compelling visual storytelling.
Work effectively with staff members and volunteers, including directing and supporting individuals with limited production experience.
Help direct interviews, talent, actors, volunteers, and other participants in a professional and comfortable manner.
Maintain organized project files, media libraries, production equipment, studio spaces, and archives.
Manage, organize, back up, and archive video media and project files according to established workflows.
Assist with the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and organization of video production equipment at Legacy Church campuses and ministry event locations.
Respond to work-related emails, phone calls, and text messages within 24 hours.
Perform other video production and ministry-related duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills & Knowledge
Strong video editing and visual storytelling skills.
Strong camera operation, composition, and general filmmaking skills.
Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve preferred; Adobe Premiere Pro considered an equivalent editing platform.
Experience with DaVinci Resolve Fusion, Adobe After Effects, or other motion graphics and visual effects software.
Working knowledge of professional camera systems, lighting, production audio, and on-set workflows.
Experience filming both controlled productions and fast-paced live or event environments.
Working knowledge of production audio, including microphone selection, recording, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting.
Experience with dialogue cleanup, audio editing, music editing, sound effects, and sound design.
Working knowledge of color correction and color grading.
Knowledge of motion graphics, animation, visual effects, and compositing.
Understanding of digital video formats, codecs, file management, backup, and delivery specifications.
Experience creating content specifically for LED walls, projection, broadcast, web, social media, and other digital platforms.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or Lightroom.
Familiarity with ProPresenter is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced production environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Ability to contribute creatively to production concepts, shot lists, storyboards, scripts, and visual treatments.
General Duties

Maintain excellence in all video content representing Legacy Church.
Work effectively with staff members, volunteers, ministry leaders, and production team members.
Support weekend services, conferences, outreaches, worship events, and special productions as needed.
Help recruit, encourage, direct, and support volunteers serving in video production.
Assist with maintaining production equipment, studio spaces, workspaces, and media archives.
Maintain organized project files and follow established media management and backup practices.
Continue learning new production techniques, software, equipment, and technologies as the field evolves.
Be willing to contribute across different areas of production and learn new skills as ministry needs require.
Receive direction and feedback with a positive and collaborative attitude.
Exercise discretion, professionalism, and appropriate judgment when working with personal, sensitive, or ministry-related stories.
Perform other production-related duties as assigned.
Work Environment
This position is based in a church production environment and may include office, studio, auditorium, and on-location settings.
Requires flexibility to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and special events as ministry needs dictate.
Occasional travel between Legacy Church campuses and ministry event locations may be required.
Frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and moving equipment may be required during production and equipment setup or teardown.
Must be able to safely lift and move equipment, cases, props, set pieces, and other production gear weighing up to 50 pounds. Heavier equipment or items may require team lifting or the use of appropriate equipment.
Work is frequently performed in a fast-paced, live production environment where adaptability, teamwork, communication, and attention to detail are essential.
Because of the nature of ministry, services, productions, and live events, work schedules may occasionally include nontraditional production hours.
Required Qualifications
A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to the mission, vision, and values of Legacy Church.
Experience in video production, videography, video editing, filmmaking, or digital content creation.
Strong understanding of professional video production, including camera operation, composition, lighting, audio, and production workflows.
Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, or a comparable professional editing platform.
Strong visual storytelling and creative problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work effectively in both controlled production environments and fast-paced live or event settings.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Willingness to receive feedback and continually develop creative and technical skills.
Ability to work effectively with staff, volunteers, and ministry leaders.
Availability to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and special events as ministry needs require.
A portfolio or demo reel demonstrating video production, editing, cinematography, and visual storytelling skills.
High school diploma or equivalent required; education or training in Film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between campuses and production locations, if required by ministry assignment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience creating narrative or scripted video productions utilizing actors, props, sets, and on-location filming.
Experience with advanced lighting for interviews, narrative productions, studio environments, and location shoots.
Experience with live video production and church production environments.
Experience creating content for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and other social media platforms.
Experience creating content specifically for LED walls, projection, broadcast, and other large-scale visual environments.
Experience with professional camera systems such as Blackmagic Design, Sony, Canon, Panasonic, or similar systems.
Experience with motion graphics, animation, compositing, color correction, and visual effects.
Experience with DaVinci Resolve Fusion and/or Adobe After Effects.
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or Lightroom.
Familiarity with ProPresenter and other church production technologies.
Photography experience is a plus.
Drone operation experience and FAA Part 107 certification are a plus.
Experience directing or mentoring volunteers and less-experienced production team members.
