Blood and Gold Dust Productions is seeking a creative, dependable Content Producer / Social Media Manager to help build the online presence of an independent feature film and its director.
This is a hybrid position combining video production, editing, social media management, and digital marketing. The ideal candidate can professionally shoot and edit YouTube videos while also turning each filming session into short-form content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube Shorts.
Our content will include director videos, filmmaking education, investor-facing presentations, production updates, behind-the-scenes material, interviews, promotional videos, and content related to the upcoming feature film Blood and Gold Dust.
This position requires someone who understands how to create polished, professional content—not simply casual phone videos or generic social media posts.
Responsibilities
- Film professional YouTube videos featuring the director and production team
- Set up and operate cameras, lighting, microphones, and teleprompter equipment
- Help direct and coach participants during on-camera presentations
- Edit long-form YouTube videos with clean pacing, graphics, music, and sound
- Create vertical videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts
- Identify strong hooks, quotes, and promotional moments from longer videos
- Write captions, headlines, video titles, descriptions, and calls to action
- Design or coordinate YouTube thumbnails and basic social media graphics
- Develop and maintain a consistent social media content calendar
- Schedule and publish content across multiple platforms
- Organize footage, project files, photographs, graphics, and completed videos
- Track performance, engagement, audience growth, and video analytics
- Recommend ways to improve content based on performance
- Maintain a consistent visual style and brand voice
- Coordinate directly with the director and production team
- Occasionally film meetings, events, interviews, location visits, and behind-the-scenes production activity
Ideal Candidate

Our primary audiences include:
- Potential film investors
- Film industry professionals
- Cast and crew
- Independent filmmakers
- Western and mystery film audiences
- Supporters of the New Mexico film industry
You should be able to recognize that investor-facing content requires a different tone than entertainment-focused social media content.
