We are looking for someone that can do one or both of the below:
We are looking for qualified individuals (NOT ENTRY LEVEL) who are interested in joining our team and serving the East Tennessee (and surrounding areas) community by providing excellent customer service and representing Prince Technologies well.
As a Network Cabling Installer for Prince Technologies you will be responsible and trusted to complete all activities involved in the delivery and installation of our customers’ structured cabling system. We have high expectations for our team members and the quality and efficiency in which they complete our projects.
This Network Cabling Technician position will require you to work with several co-workers in an efficient and thoughtful manner.
As a Audio Video Installer for Prince Technologies you will be responsible and trusted to complete all activities involved in the delivery and installation of our customers’ Audio Video system. We have high expectations for our team members and the quality and efficiency in which they complete our projects.
THIS JOB IS NOT FOR AUDIO AND VIDEO CONCERT/CHURCH EVENTS, THIS IS FOR COMMERCIAL AUDIO/VIDEO INSTALLTIONS FOR THINGS LIKE CONFERENCE ROOMS/CHURCHES AND LARGE BUSINESSES, LIKE HOOKING UP TEAMS ROOMS AND PROGRAMMING OF THESE ITEMS. RESIDENTIAL EXPERIENCE IS WELCOME AS WELL. Pay is strongly dependent on skills and experience.
The ideal AV Technician candidate possesses some experience in commercial and/or House of Worship audio/visual systems. Any employee of Prince must maintain a professional and presentable appearance and be capable of interfacing with clients.
1. Install and configure audio video systems including TVs, projectors, speakers, control systems, and networking equipment
2. Perform some structured cabling and ensure clean, professional installations
3. Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory
4. Able to communicate and follow the lead of the Lead AV Technician and Project Manager
5. Able to leave their ego at the door
Compensation for this position STARTS at $18 an hour based on experience and qualifications.
If you are afraid of heights or small spaces - please let us know. We infrequently work with >30 foot ceiling heights, or in crawl spaces with low clearance.
Employee is eligible for employer paid health insurance on their first day of employment (with options for dental and vision).
Additional Benefits After 90 Days Include:

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Willingness to learn and apply our techniques and style of installation (meet company standard of cable installation)

- Ability to be organized and detail oriented (van maintenance and cleanliness, warehouse and inventory management, cable bundling/labeling/installation)

- Ability to put into practice core values daily and ability to reflect on one's performance
- Ability and willingness to participate in company provided training, meetings, and events
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance based upon Prince Technologies dress code.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Good communication skills and a team-first mentality.
- Mechanical Aptitude a must.
- Installation of many types of low voltage cabling and required cable pathway systems (cable tray, cable rack, j-hooks, support, etc.).
- History of excellent attendance
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Must pass initial and random drug tests and a background check. Prince Technologies is a part of Tennessee's Drug Free Workplace Program and will require a pre-employment drug screening.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have personal transportation to/from work.
- Fiber Installation/Termination experience a plus but not required.
- Plus Factors: Bicsi Installer 1 or 2 Certification, copper or other industry certifications, Manufacturer Certifications (Leviton, Panduit, Commscope, etc.)
