Overview

We are seeking skilled Welders to join our dynamic fabrication team. This role involves performing high-quality welding and metal fabrication on various projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards and technical specifications. The successful candidates will bring mechanical knowledge, precision measurement skills, and a strong work ethic to contribute effectively to our manufacturing processes. This is a paid position that offers opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative environment dedicated to excellence in metalwork.

Responsibilities

Interpret and analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and mechanical blueprints to determine welding requirements and fabrication specifications.
Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards.
Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math to ensure precise cuts and welds on sheet metal and other metal materials.
Operate power tools, plasma cutters, and gas metal arc welding equipment safely and efficiently.
Fabricate, assemble, and modify metal components, ensuring quality control through inspection with measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing instructions accurately.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Collaborate with team members on complex fabrication projects involving sheet metal fabrication, mechanical assembly, and machining processes.
Utilize hand tools and measuring devices to verify dimensions and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by following safety procedures and quality standards during all welding activities.

Qualifications

Proven experience working on construction sites or within fabrication shops involving metal welding and fabrication tasks.
Proficiency in multiple welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and SMAW.
Strong understanding of blueprint reading, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprint interpretation.
Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication work.
Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding operations and construction environments.
Ability to operate power tools, plasma cutters, hand tools, and other fabrication equipment safely.
Mechanical knowledge related to metal materials, sheet metal fabrication, machining, and assembly processes.
Experience working with steel structures involving crane operations or heavy lifting is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail combined with strong communication skills.
Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately while adhering to AWS standards for quality assurance.
