Overview

Join our team as an Activities Aide, where your enthusiasm and compassion will make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and residents in our community. This full-time and part-time role offers an exciting opportunity to create engaging, enjoyable, and enriching activities tailored to the unique needs of our residents. Your dedication will foster a lively environment that promotes social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being. Duties

Plan, coordinate, and facilitate a variety of recreational activities, including games, outings, arts and crafts, music sessions, and special events that cater to residents’ interests and abilities
Build strong rapport with residents through personalized interactions to enhance their emotional well-being and sense of community
Collaborate with nursing staff and other team members to ensure activities align with individual care plans and health considerations
Manage resident participation by encouraging involvement while respecting their preferences and limitations
Assist in organizing community events and resident celebrations that foster a lively atmosphere within the facility
Maintain accurate records of activities conducted, resident participation levels, and feedback to continually improve program offerings

Requirements

Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with residents, families, and team members
Ability to coordinate resident events while managing schedules efficiently using tools like Microsoft Office or similar software
Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in enhancing the quality of life for older adults with diverse needs
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is advantageous
Ability to adapt activities for residents with varying physical and cognitive abilities while promoting safety and enjoyment
