Full Job Description

About the Opportunity

West Empire Surgery is expanding our surgical services and seeking a full-time Orthopedic Surgeon to join our growing Los Angeles practice.

This is an exciting opportunity for an orthopedic surgeon who wants to join an established surgical practice while playing an integral role in the development and growth of a new orthopedic service line.

Our goal is to provide the incoming surgeon with the clinical, administrative, imaging, and operational support needed to build a successful orthopedic practice while delivering exceptional patient care.

Compensation & Benefits

$360,000 base salary
$25,000 sign-on bonus
Relocation assistance of $10,000 for qualified candidates
Malpractice coverage provided

Full-time administrative and clinical support
Dedicated scheduling and billing support
Planned access to in-house digital X-ray services and dedicated X-ray technologist
Opportunity to play a key role in developing and growing our orthopedic division

Position Responsibilities

The Orthopedic Surgeon will be responsible for providing comprehensive orthopedic care, including:

Evaluating and diagnosing orthopedic injuries and conditions
Developing appropriate surgical and non-surgical treatment plans
Performing orthopedic surgical procedures
Providing pre-operative and post-operative care
Ordering and interpreting diagnostic imaging
Coordinating patient care with clinical and administrative staff
Maintaining timely and accurate medical documentation
Developing strong relationships with referring providers and community partners
Participating in the continued development of the orthopedic service line
Maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, clinical care, and professionalism

Qualifications

MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
Active California medical license or ability to obtain prior to start date
DEA registration or eligibility to obtain
Strong clinical and surgical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patient-focused approach to care
Ability to work collaboratively within a growing multidisciplinary practice
