Aerospace precision manufacturer located in Brea currently seeking candidate for Production Planner. Position Summary

Production Planner Job Description

The production planner will create and maintain the daily production schedules and mitigate risks related to capacity and material constraints to ensure that demand requirements are met on time. This role works efficiently to ensure we are at or above our goal of 98% on time delivery and if not, work with management to assess risks of under delivery. They will closely monitor our Kanban schedules to ensure new lots are opened with time to ensure on time delivery. They will schedule and work with quoting team to ensure proper balance for new jobs. This role will work closely with the Procurement Specialist and Shop Manager so collaboration is a must. This role will work hand in hand with the shipping department to make sure all aspects are handled appropriately throughout production process. We have fun while working hard and do everything we can to support our team environment and family like culture.

Qualifications

Ability to read blueprints.
Understanding of AS9100D
At least 5 years in Aerospace in a production role
Parker Hannifin and Boeing experience preferred.
Understanding of Part Production in Job Shop Environment
Strong Customer Service Skills
Jobboss2 ERP system experience a plus
Strong computer skills/Excel
Good Attendance Records
Strong ability to multitask
Good verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to work well with others.
Ability to follow directions and retain information.
Detail oriented
Effective time management skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

Update and maintain production list
PH Connect – update promise dates, verify and track any date changes, maintain Kanban lists and signals
Create Job Shippers/Documents
Log in Outside Processes/Materials and Certs
Hot job follow ups – identifying jobs risking late delivery and strategize with management to build expedite plans
Ensure communication with customer service to properly inform outside vendors if expedite plans are needed
Planning Lot Size for New Runs
Monitor production lists and Lead weekly Production meeting
Bond Inventory and Procedures
Build and Maintain Cert Packages
Finalize incoming Certificates and Specifications
Work with Shipping to schedule shipments and proper packaging requirements
Ensure all specs are met throughout production process and revisions, MQI’s are flowed correctly
Work closely with customers to answer high level questions regarding parts in process
Request waivers if appropriate
Create weekly/monthly metric reports for management to review
Get Jobs ready to hit the production floor
