Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Controller to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, budget management, and compliance with industry regulations. Your expertise will drive strategic financial planning and support our continued growth in a competitive market. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned construction or manufacturing finance professional to lead our financial initiatives with energy and precision.

Summary: Primary member of leadership team responsible for managing the finance, accounting functions, resources and financial assets of the company and subsidiary companies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Create, implement, administer, and evaluate all financial programs, procedures and supporting information systems
Standard accounting, analysis, and reporting procedures in the exercise of overall financial control
Ensure credibility of company finance team by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts
Provide leadership in the development and evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives
Prepare the Corporate and Consolidated financial statements, and supporting financial summary, on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
Oversee the overall month end close process, prepare reasonableness calculations, review reconciliations prepared by staff, and assess the overall accuracy of monthly financial data within the Epicor general ledger.
Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive job cost system in Epicor
Develop and maintain accurate costing system in Epicor
Coordinate Epicor changes and improvements in automated financial information systems
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial reporting requirements
Serve as interface with lenders and CPA firm
Partner with senior management and ownership in the development and execution of strategic business and/or operational plans
Hire and retain key accounting and financing talent
Oversee the annual financial statement review process and coordinate as needed with the external audit firm.
Stay informed about the regulatory environment and developments to the industry / competitive landscape to incorporate best practices throughout the company
Manage the relationship with the corporate insurance agent and oversee the placement of coverage for general liability, umbrella, property and worker’s compensation insurance; account for the allocations of premiums; oversee and participate in the annual insurance audits.

Education / Training / Experience

Bachelors degree in accounting / finance
5 plus years of accounting / finance experience
Public Accounting experience preferred
CPA and/or CMA a plus but not required

Reporting to this Position: Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Manager

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
