Responsibilities

Alter and tailor clothing items to fit customers’ measurements accurately, ensuring a perfect fit
Repair damaged or worn clothing by mending seams, replacing zippers, or patching fabric
Assist customers with fitting sessions, offering expert advice on garment adjustments and styling options
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sewing workspace and tools
Manage multiple projects efficiently while adhering to deadlines
Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions

Skills

Proficiency in operating sewing machines and hand sewing techniques
Strong understanding of garment fitting, fabric types, and sewing patterns
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Basic math skills for taking measurements, adjusting patterns, and calculating fabric requirements
Knowledge of fashion trends and current retail styles is a plus
Ability to work independently with attention to detail while managing multiple tasks effectively
