The ideal candidate will be computer-literate, have knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and be experienced with sterile technique and assisting with in-office procedures. This role requires someone who can stay organized, work efficiently in a fast-paced setting, and provide compassionate, professional care to our patients. Dermatology experience is preferred.

Opportunity Overview
- Prepare examination rooms and patients for consultations and procedures, adhering to established infection prevention procedures to ensure patient privacy and safety.
- Obtain and accurately document important clinical information within the electronic medical record for physician/provider office visits.
- Perform clinic triaging responsibilities, including managing patient phone calls, pathology reports, prescription renewals, lab results, and faxing documents to other physicians. Document all communications effectively.
- Secure prior authorizations and surgical checklists, ensuring completion of paperwork and collection of necessary forms.
- Administer injections and perform blood draws as required.
- Maintain stock levels of medical supplies, handle laundry, fill syringes, and clean autoclave and instruments. Follow protocols for proper sterilization and disinfection.
- Manage inventory in the medical sample closet, organizing items for efficiency and verifying expiration dates. Properly dispose of outdated samples.
- Educate patients on skin cancer, wound care, prescriptions, procedures, biopsies, cultures, KOH tests, Demodex, and Scabies. Reinforce physician-provided instructions and address patient questions.
- Protect patient confidentiality and rights by strictly adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Assist physicians/providers with excisions, biopsies, punch biopsies, suture removals, cultures, ED&C procedures, and cosmetic treatments.
- Act as a chaperone during examinations to ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervising medical staff.
