Full Job Description

Position Summary

Ecopax is seeking an experienced, hands-on Human Resources Manager to oversee the daily HR operations supporting both its Easton and Bethlehem manufacturing facilities.

This position serves as the primary onsite HR business partner for employees and supervisors, providing leadership in employee relations, payroll and HRIS administration, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, policy administration, compliance, and supervisor coaching.

The HR Manager will rotate regularly between both facilities to ensure consistent HR support, standardized practices, and strong partnerships with operational leadership.

This role is designed to own the day-to-day execution of HR while partnering with senior HR leadership on strategic initiatives that support the organization's continued growth.

Essential Responsibilities

HR Operations & Employee Relations

Serve as the primary HR resource for employees and supervisors at both manufacturing facilities.
Provide guidance on employee relations matters, policy interpretation, corrective action, investigations, and conflict resolution.
Coach supervisors on performance management, attendance, documentation, and employment practices.
Conduct workplace investigations and prepare appropriate documentation.
Promote a positive employee relations culture through regular visibility and engagement.

Payroll & HRIS Administration

Oversee bi-weekly payroll preparation, review, and audit for accuracy.
Ensure accurate timekeeping, attendance, and payroll administration.
Maintain employee records within the HRIS and payroll systems.
Coordinate employee status changes, compensation updates, and organizational changes.
Partner with Finance to ensure payroll accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Support payroll reporting, audits, and process improvements.

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

Manage recruiting for hourly, salaried, and supervisory positions.
Partner with staffing agencies to support temporary workforce needs.
Coordinate interviews, hiring decisions, pre-employment activities, and onboarding.
Develop recruiting strategies to support workforce planning and retention.

Onboarding & Employee Development

Oversee new hire orientation and onboarding.
Ensure completion of employment documentation and compliance requirements.
Coordinate employee training and supervisor development initiatives.
Support employee engagement and recognition programs.

HR Compliance

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Maintain personnel files and HR documentation.
Support FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, unemployment, and other employment related programs.
Assist with policy development and implementation.

Organizational Partnership

Partner closely with plant leadership to address workforce needs proactively.
Participate in operational meetings and workforce planning discussions.
Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency and employee engagement.
Maintain consistent HR practices across both facilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
preferred.
Five or more years of progressive HR Generalist or HR Manager experience in a
manufacturing environment.
Strong employee relations experience required.
Experience managing full-cycle payroll, benefit, and HRIS systems.
Working knowledge of wage and hour laws, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, workers' compensation,
and other employment regulations.
Experience supporting multi-shift manufacturing operations preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
Excellent communication, coaching, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll platforms.

Preferred Experience

Manufacturing or industrial environment.
High-volume workforce.
Temporary staffing coordination.
Performance management and supervisor coaching.
Payroll processing and HRIS administration.
Change management and organizational improvement initiatives.

Success Measures

Within the first year, the successful candidate will:

Establish a visible HR presence at both facilities.
Build strong relationships with supervisors and employees.
Improve consistency in policy administration and employee relations.
Strengthen payroll and HRIS accuracy.
Improve onboarding and new hire integration.
Support recruiting efforts that reduce vacancies and improve retention.
Partner effectively with senior HR leadership to allow greater focus on organizational strategy and long-term initiatives.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
